Friday, April 6, 2007...Stand By Engines!

Back to square one...sit, and wait!

Yesterday, Thursday, April 5, 2007 I let loose with one email to the CONtractors "info@" address. This address does not bounce...they get email...however it's never answered as it goes to no one in particular. However it is seen.

Full Ahead!

But nothing's happening.

Do you think something's funny?

It's a riot!

This morning Friday April 6, 2007 on a lark I sent this email:

Discriminating people insist on a SunRoom built by Nice Guys Corp. because
Nice Guys Corp. is SunRooms.

From the Nice Guys website at www.niceguys.com this anxious customer envisions
their SunRoom as shown here.

You can surf the Web and you will come up with none better.

Patience though is the secret. Don't tell anyone until ours is built.

Me

About an hour after sending the above email, for something to do I sent this one just to add to the humor of the day:

Pet says:
"I'm waiting for my sunroom."

Around four in the afternoon on this beautiful spring day as I was about to shut down the machine for the day, I checked the email as I usually do. To my surprise there was a reply...an actual email from the Vice President of Nice Guys Corp. himself. I figured him for having his own email address as the Contract Manager did, but never, ever thought he'd reply. I was sure that whatever went to the company's "info @" address did pass to him, but never thought he'd "bite". Here is his reply:

How about that. Note his Cc to the Superintendant/Project Manager, but he doesn't realize the fellow doesn't have an email address assigned to him. Unless given a printed copy, that fellow isn't going to see this.

The typos: ( you for "your" and begin for "beginning" ) is his own, indicating he does his own typing.

We like to think that finally this is for real! My answer is short, and sweet:

We believe the sub-contractor who pumps in the concrete for the footer will be here on Monday. Keep a lookout for this truck.
