Might as well have had a flat roof

No surprise. Remember...I warned them.

Just get it over with.

As you can see...an almost flat "gable". Seems pretentious to even install windows in the gable...ought just blank it off. However, we want so badly to be rid of these butchers we're just keeping our fingers crossed for the rest of this abortion. Get it finished before they get thrown in jail...which could happen any day now.

Photo of Ridge Beam going up slope of house. You can see there was plenty more room to run up the Ridge Beam to heighten the Gable. Maybe this is just as well...the less roof touched by these idiots, the less problems down the road...if any. For this photo I just kept the camera on the tripod, and lifted it with the timer set.

I told them that post was too short. I also see they used lag bolts to fasten the hewn Ridge Beam to the LVL Ridge Beam. Plans call for threaded bolts with washers, and nuts...of which there are two dozen in a bag. Ever see such "work". Also no post caps are used. It's a disaster as far as any adherrance to the plans. No doubt strong, but primitive.

Tomorrow we expect them to return. The plan was to complete the roofing with plywood, and install the big windows, but the threat of rain had them sitting in their trucks for several hours. The Project Manager, who should be fired, thinks we're so thrilled with all this. He may be in jail next week...he is to appear in court over a complaint against Nice Guys Corp. This has to be finished soon...maybe they all will be in the clink.

See what happens...tomorrow.
