No new devil opements.
Clap clap clap for Clapboard.
Done the other way - from bottom up, and you have Lapstrake...sort of.

The Main Structure..."structure" meaning "house" is cement block painted white, or near white. The background for this page is Clapboard...gray sort of. It's the choice I think we made...it's been so long now, we forget. It's definitely vinyl...quite sure as that word was used frequently. It's vinyl over chip board, or something like that, and insulation...whatever that material is. Now this vinyl is used ubiqitously in the construction business for siding. It's sort of weather proof, and it's supposed to stand up to the sun quite well. However, it's chintsy...not too strong. There is a Clapboard substance now on the market that takes the place of wood that's a composite of cement mixed in a fibre of sorts...that I am sure we aren't getting.

JUSTIFIABLE PARANOIA?

Anyways, it's all outside in that mysterious trailer parked on the driveway...or we think it is...could be just rocks. Ha ha. Wouldn't that be something. Speaking of the trailer...it's quite a nice trailer...but I'm not into trailers. There's a giant Master Pad Lock on both doors of the trailer. Sometimes we think maybe the CONtractor has gone belly-up, but then that doesn't makes sense what with the trailer, and contents, and the CONcrete form, and re-bar for the footer being worth something that's left behind. The timber used in that form is first class lumber - two by twelves...heavy stuph.

Nah...they're not going away...just poor management, or over CONtracting. Spoke with the salesman just two days ago...he'd be the first to go if they were skipping town. Amazingly he remembered us...mentioned there was some controversy with the Inspectors still...something to do with the "valley". I mentioned that in a previous update.
He mentioned "flashing" to the wife...the "valley" must incorporate "flashing". Flashing is galvanized tin if I'm not mistaking. He did say they have three-hundred more orders for their "SunRoom". We then said that we should at least be head of the list of those poor people. No comment from him about that. The way I see it is that our job is so small, and just the bare minimum...nothing fancy...that they just consider us as something for a rainy day. Peasants...so to speak...they'll get to us when they have time...the wealthy come first. True...that's true. Should have figured we were getting into the "big leagues"...but they did take our money. So whatta ya think? It's rough being poor.

Don't mean to make anyone cry. Believe it if you want to.

The nice salesman did say he'd enquire of the upper-echelon and get back to us at least by next monday. Here's an updated sketch of the structure using Lapstrake...er...make that Clapboard:

The weather remains ideal for construction. In conversation between us this morning we both had the feeling the nice cement guys will be here today to fill the form. More later.
