Quiet.
Very quiet
Not a word from the Senior V.P.
Nor anyone.

JUSTIFIABLE PARANOIA?

So, there you have it...last Thursday the Senior V.P. said he'd call with any information, go, or no-go...he hasn't. Is it deliberate? Or...is the fellow mentally deficient in some way, or another? Don't most people, even if land types, follow through on promises?
It's a lovley sunny day...slight N'ly breeze. Though the temperature is hovering around fifty, it's still a good day to pour concrete...nothing. I know, I know, it may sound paranoid, but maybe it's because I'm a lowely seaman. This was sent to me the other day by one sympathetic towards seaman:

Catch that?:
"The Human Sharks Are Still Out There"

When you meet these people, it's hard to stick to imagined opinions. However, having dealt with so many crooked ship-repair contractors the government dealt with, should I view all contractors as being crooked; sleaz-balls...just one notch above sexual deviants; child molesters; social outcasts; and the like. Should I view all "entrepreneurs" as "dig, and scratch"; "pick and shovel" non-documented adventurists. Though small businesses are supposedly the "back-bone" of our "industrial might", should I consider such a commentary as "sad"...if my experiences with them mean anything. Short of sounding like a "commie", there has to be a better way than just anyone sticking up a sign, and calling themselves professionals. Maybe that comes from my vocation, where before any lines are "let go", my license better be legit, and current. I was "licensed"; and had to prove my competence through tests/examinations, and time.
It's hard for me to imagine, when I meet them in person that secretly they're pocketing ill-gained funds, but going home every night to family, and pets and playing at being upstanding citizens within the law. I just can't imagine them ripping me, or anyone off. But then weren't those with that mobster mentality just like that...good family men/women...but out-casts never-the-less.

Once again I ask myself: "Do they treat their fellow land lubbers like this?" Aboard ship it would be not be accepted.

You know...this is getting very tiresome. Maybe the next update can be more interesting. Let's hope they get started and we can post some photos of work in progress. We have a feeling they will start early tomorrow morning with the pour...they are really nice guys.

Heres the Elevations Plan. Simple! Can such a small job be so confounding?
