Subject: THROUGH THE LOOKING PANEL

Hi guys,

I fell asleep for a moment last night while sitting in my sunroom ( in progress ) having my last smoke, and coffee for the day.

I dreamt I was playing on the railroad tracks down from where I lived in Brooklyn as a kid.

Now that's nothing earth-shattering, except the whole dream was as if I was looking out through the paneling installed by ( Names name ), and ( Names name ) last April 30th. In itself that wouldn't be so bad...but as of late I see everything this way.

Could the guys maybe drop by one of these days and maybe add a little bit to the structure, say like the beginnings of a roof...the plywood part...just over the slab area...the sun is beginning to get to me. And of course just to break the monotony.

As always,
Me

PS If your PC has speakers, there's sound on this email...an old loco ( not me ) passing.

Contractor says company will honor contracts

( Town Named here ) - A top official at a ( Town named here ) contractor under fire for delays in home-remodeling projects said Friday that the firm plans to honor every contract it has.

"We'll get them completed, as we're supposed to," Nice Guys Corp. Senior Vice President ( Names name ) said. "We're going to ensure that everything is done the right way with our customers. I want to emphasize that over and over."

The contractor, which specializes in sunrooms, roofing and storm-resistant home construction, has been suspended from the local Better Business Bureau for not responding to customer complaints.

Nice Guys has racked up 52 complaints in the past 12 months, according to records kept by the Better Business Bureau of Central ( Names State ).

Dozens of residents' comments posted Thursday at ( Names newspaper ).com criticized the company for taking thousands of dollars in deposits, but not finishing jobs or paying subcontractors. Some residents defended the company.

( Names name ) said the number of complaints is small, compared with how many jobs the firm has done. He said Transflorida has handled about 1,000 projects since 2004.

"To have 50 complaints over that much volume of jobs is a very small percentage," he said.

Company officials have said that construction delays were caused by problems obtaining permits.

( Names name ) would not permit a photographer to accompany a ( Names Newspaper ) reporter.

Customer ( Names name ) of ( Names town ) said she thoroughly investigated Nice Guys before choosing the company to do an addition to her property.

"I have nothing but the highest regard for the company and the workmanship," she said.

Here's the one comment from from the Newspaper's Blog:
A prudent reporter would have checked the facts before he printed this rubbish. In Thursdays blog someone speculated $12,000,000 in stolen deposits which is probably close but too high. Thats 300 typical additions (10' x 30') at $125/sq ft but hopefully they are only stealing the deposit money, if owners are paying in full shame on them.

Their is no way these clowns sold or built 1000 rooms and the reporter should have checked. I'm a former employee that got burned for more than $10,000 and a better guess is 300 sold, say 50-100 built.

And the commenter on Thursday blog should note that the State only acts if someone complains. As of last week these clowns only had one state complaint against them. That might change.

I challenge the reporter to get back in their and count jobs sold vs jobs built. And yes 50 complaint out of (say) 300 is huge!

And anyone holding a business card from this duffus that ends with P.E. should send the card to ( Names Capital of State ). He is not!
